Markel acquires commercial insurance broker in the UK

Markel UK has acquired Caunce O’Hara & Company, a commercial insurance broker that offers a full range of insurance products and risk management services to freelance professionals, contractors, SME’s, large corporate clients and high net worth individuals.

Caunce O’Hara will keep its brand and its team of 12 will remain in its existing office in Manchester.

The deal, first announced on September 12, 2019, has received regulatory approval from the Financial Conduct Authority.
