Lockton poaches former CEO of JLT Bermuda

Lockton has announced that Gareth Davies has joined its Bermuda team as senior vice president, property.

"We're pleased to have Gareth join our growing Bermuda team," said Philip DiMeglio, managing director of Lockton Bermuda. "He's a strong addition to Lockton's international placement, and our clients will benefit from his expertise, particularly in light of the recent catastrophic losses from storms, earthquakes and fires."

Prior to joining Lockton, Davies was the CEO of JLT Bermuda and prior to that he was Head of RK Harrison Bermuda. Davies has been a property broker in Bermuda for more than 20 years and brings vast experience of broking a wide range of industrial, multi-family habitational and energy clients. Davies also brings expertise in facultative reinsurance as well as alternative property solutions.

According to the company Davies will focus on growing the business, particularly in the property area, in a market that Lockton said could be difficult over the next couple of years.
