Chubb strengthens its North America A&H team with two promotions

Chubb has made two leadership appointments in its North America accident and health (A&H) business.

Suresh Krishnan has been promoted to executive vice president, head of North America specialty A&H, in addition to his existing role as chief operating officer (COO) for North America A&H. He assumes responsibility for growing this business segment and continues to report to Chris Martin, division president of North America A&H.

Meanwhile Lauren Gorte has been promoted to COO of specialty A&H, from her former role as product manager for errors and omissions (E&O). She is now responsible for developing and implementing strategies to leverage the company's product and service offerings, including multinational travel accident and medical, business travel accident, and special risk business lines. She also leads the retail field sales and underwriting teams, and reports to Krishnan.

Krishnan joined Chubb in 1999 and has held a variety of executive-level positions, including head of Chubb European Group's major accounts division and, before ACE’s acquisition of Chubb in 2016, head of Chubb's overseas general insurance division's multinational and large accounts strategy.

Gorte joined Chubb in 2009 as a professional associate. She has nearly a decade of production and field management experience in both the E&O and cyber product lines. In her time at Chubb she has headed up the Midwest region's underwriting team, overseen the Western region for E&O and cyber, and managed the real estate E&O portfolio.
