Brit appoints head of inclusion and diversity
Brit has appointed Wayne Page as head of inclusion and diversity (I&D).
Page is responsible for advancing Brit’s I&D objectives and works in conjunction with the company’s I&D committee. He reports to Shane Kingston, chief risk officer and chief actuary, and to Brit’s I&D sponsors.
Page has a background in I&D and wellbeing, having held a range of roles in this area in the last five years. He also spent eight years at the Financial Conduct Authority as a regulatory supervisor before his I&D work, overseeing regulation for a number of large insurance firms.
Matthew Wilson, Brit’s group chief executive officer, emphasised the importance of D&I and equality to Brit. “This is not just because it is the right thing to do, but because we believe it encourages more innovative thinking and results in better business outcomes,” he said. “We are committed to creating an environment where everyone understands and celebrates the difference that diversity brings to an organisation and that allows all our people to reach their full potential.”
