BMS Group has named Kevin Gordon as senior vice president for treaty reinsurance, as it seeks to expand its presence in the US treaty reinsurance market.
Gordon is based in Chicago and reports to Brad Nebel, branch manager in the Chicago office.
He was previously senior vice president at Willis Re and led a number of key reinsurance accounts across multiple lines of business, including property catastrophe, fidelity, and professional liability. He also spent over 17 years at Aon Benfield, specialising in treaty reinsurance placements.
Pete Chandler, president and chief executive of BMS’s US reinsurance arm, said the broker expects to see significant opportunities in the evolving US treaty reinsurance market. “Our US operation is growing in scale across several select specialty lines and we are determined to play a major part in developing client-focused, targeted solutions in our chosen growth segments,” he said.
