AXIS reshuffles management team
AXIS Capital has made three management changes, appointing a new chief operating officer, senior advisor and CEO of AXIS Insurance.
Jack Gressier, the current CEO of AXIS Insurance has been appointed as AXIS Capital’s new chief operating officer. He will begin his duties at the start of April.
Gressier will oversee AXIS’ global insurance operations, including broker relationships and distribution management, reinsurance purchasing and corporate risk protection activities. He will also be responsible for the company’s growing accident and health business.
Dennis Reding, who retires as chief operating officer will become a senior advisor to the company and will continue on as a member of AXIS Capital’s executive committee.
Peter Wilson, currently president of US insurance at AXIS Insurance will succeed Gressier as CEO of AXIS Insurance, with responsibility for AXIS Capital’s global property and casualty insurance operations.
Commenting on the appointments, Albert Benchimol, president and CEO of AXIS Capital, remarked, “Having worked closely with Jack for several years, I have developed tremendous confidence in his management prowess, leadership skills and underwriting expertise.
