Bermuda-based insurance firm Aspen has confirmed David Whiter, chairman of international marine, energy and aviation, is leaving the firm.
Whiter has worked in the London aviation insurance market for more than 30 years, first as a broker, then as an underwriter. He is also chairman of the International Underwriting Association's (IUA) aviation technical committee.
The executive was appointed to head up Cigna's international aviation operation in 1992 before leaving to create the XL Aviation operation six years later. He has served on the markets company and Lloyd's committees.
