Aspen Insurance Bermuda hires from Aon and Argo Re

Aspen Insurance Bermuda has appointed Darren Cann as senior vice president, financial and professional lines, and Saadia Savory as vice president, excess casualty.

Cann has over 10 years of experience in the Bermuda market, and most recently served as assistant vice president at Aon Bermuda, a company he has worked at since 2007. He has also worked for Allied World in Bermuda within its professional lines business.

He will responsible for running Aspen Insurance Bermuda's FINPRO team.

Prior to Aspen, Savory served as senior underwriter, excess casualty at Argo Re, and before that was with AIG.

Saadia was the recipient of the  Bermuda Rising Stars award in 2017, an award given out by Bermuda Re + ILS.

Both Cann and Savory will report to Zac Clammer, executive vice president, head of insurance lines, Bermuda. They joined in January 2019 and December 2018, respectively.
