Bermuda-based Aspen has appointed a former Beazley executive as global head of accident and health.
Peter Slot will report to Bernie de Haldevang, head of FINPRO international and Bruce Eisler, executive vice president, US financial products – professional lines. This is a new role within Aspen’s financial and professional lines team.
Slot will join Aspen in the spring of 2015 from Beazley where he was, until recently, head of accident and health (A&H) in the US with responsibility for both insurance and reinsurance as well as having substantial involvement in the London-based business.
He will be responsible for developing Aspen Insurance’s global offering in the A&H sector, leveraging its existing capabilities in this market. He will also work closely with Aspen Re, Aspen’s reinsurance business, to identify and develop opportunities within the A&H reinsurance segment worldwide.
Slot will be based in London but will also spend a significant amount of his time in the US.
