Ascot acquires Greyhawk

Ascot US Holding Corporation has acquired Colorado domiciled Greyhawk Insurance Company and its wholly owned subsidiary Greyhawk Specialty Insurance Company.

Ascot US Holding Corporation is a subsidiary of Bermuda domiciled global re/insurance specialist Ascot Group.

Greyhawk is an admitted lines insurer and has been in runoff since 2006. Greyhawk Specialty is a dormant Rhode Island domiciled Excess & Surplus lines insurer.  The acquisitions are subject to regulatory approvals.

Ascot said that the acquisition of the Greyhawk companies will expand its US platform and provide increased access to the US insurance markets.
