ArgoGlobal targets Asia with new appointment

Argo Group subsidiary ArgoGlobal has appointed Veronica Grigg as senior executive officer for ArgoGlobal Asia.

Grigg takes up her role in April and will be based in ArgoGlobal’s Singapore office, subject to regulatory approval. She will report to Matt Harris, head of Europe, Middle East and Asia.

According to the company Grigg brings more than 25 years of industry experience in the Asia Pacific markets to ArgoGlobal. She joins from QBE Asia Pacific where she served as head of distribution, major trading partners, where she was tasked with establishing and enhancing channel, account and partner strategies, and was instrumental in driving growth within the broker, affinity and SME segments. Prior to this, Grigg served as QBE’s global head of distribution where she led teams across Europe, US, Latin America and Asia Pacific.

“Our Asia business will increasingly become a core driver of growth for Argo Group,” said Harris. “To achieve our ambitions, we need to bring in proven leaders who have the skills and drive to set our services apart. Veronica is a clear example of this philosophy in practice. Her record of driving growth through strong leadership and innovation, her exemplary knowledge of the APAC markets and her vast network of contacts will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen our offering. I am confident that clients will quickly experience the benefit of her expertise, and I look forward to welcoming her to the team.”
