ArgoGlobal appoints head of exposure management

ArgoGlobal, the Lloyd’s insurer and member of Bermuda-based Argo Group, has named Matthew Foote as head of exposure management.

Foote joins ArgoGlobal from MSIG at Lloyd’s where he served as head of exposure management and catastrophe risk. In this role he was responsible for the production of the syndicate’s exposure analytics strategy, the development of its catastrophe management function and the significant growth of its analytics team.

Before his role at MSIG, Foote served as senior director, natural catastrophe and portfolio solutions at Risk Management Solutions where he was tasked with leading all Solvency II activity.

In his new position, Foote will report to Gail Sumner, head of business delivery services.

“Matthew brings an exceptional level of expertise and experience in exposure management to his new role,” said Sumner.

“He has consistently demonstrated a capacity for innovation and an ability to drive change, building dynamic analytics platforms and functions which have contributed to a tangible and lasting influence on business strategy.

“I am delighted to welcome him to ArgoGlobal and certain he will be an invaluable asset to the business.”
