Bermuda-based specialty re/insurer Argo has joined insurance distribution network GBN Worldwide, a platform that allows members to transact international business in over 140 countries.
Through this network, Argo will be able to provide local clients and those with multinational operations with country-specific coverages, rather than them having to manage multiple intermediary relationships.
“I am extremely pleased to welcome Argo as a member of GBN Worldwide at a global level," said Jamil Bahou, GBN founder and chairman. "We have a shared vision when it comes to digital distribution, and through their interaction with GBN Members and their virtual presence on the Connect Marketplace platform, we can help them grow their distribution with access to low-limit, high-volume specialty business, not typically seen in the Lloyd’s and London markets.”
GBN Worldwide allows members to transact specialty business from different geographical regions using a Lloyd's-recognised electronic placement platform, Connect Markeplace.
Ewelina Kudla, head of international marketing and producer management at ArgoGlobal, said: “Becoming part of GBN provides us with significant distribution opportunities and extends our global reach in a single step. Connect Marketplace, a Lloyd’s-recognised digital placing platform, gives us an unparalleled virtual presence around the world, which will benefit our existing and prospective clients.”
