Allied World senior reinsurance exec moves to Third Point Re

Bermuda-based property and casualty re/insurer Third Point Re has appointed Tracey Gibbons to leads its specialty treaty portfolio as senior vice president, specialty reinsurance.

Gibbons have over 32 years of experience and most recently served as senior vice president of specialty reinsurance at Allied World Assurance Company.

Prior to joining Allied World in 2003, she was senior vice president at Overseas Partners, where she has been described as instrumental in setting up the company's US operation.

Based in Bermuda, Gibbons will be responsible for workers compensation catastrophe, PA/Life catastrophe and other niche lines of business including contingency and political violence. She will report to Dan Malloy, CEO of Third Point Re.
