ACE reveals Chubb overseas division leadership team

Insurer ACE, which has operations in Bermuda, has revealed the leadership team it intends to appoint for the European Group of the new Chubb Group’s overseas general insurance division.

This division encompasses Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK. The leadership appointments will be effective completion of the acquisition of Chubb, which is expected in the first quarter of 2016.Andrew Kendrick will has been appointed as as senior vice president (SVP) of the new Chubb Group and regional president, European Group.Kendrick will report to Juan Andrade, EVP, ACE Group, personal lines and COO of ACE overseas general, and who as previously announced will serve as EVP of the Chubb Group and president of the overseas general insurance division. Jalil Rehman will serve executive vice president (EVP) and chief business operations officer, European Group. Currently, Rehman is SVP and European zone officer for Chubb. Matthew Shaw will take on the role of EVP, European Group, and division president, Chubb global markets, the company’s international excess and surplus (E&S) lines wholesale business including both its Lloyd’s and London company market operations. Currently, Shaw is division president, ACE global markets. David Robinson will serve as EVP, European Group, and President, UK. and Ireland. Currently, Robinson is regional president, UK and Ireland for ACE. Reporting to Robinson and serving as chief operating officer (COO) for the UK and Ireland property and casualty (P&C) business will be Phil Sharpe. Currently, Sharpe is COO for ACE’s UK and Ireland P&C business. Also reporting to Robinson and serving as head of distribution, UK and Ireland, will be Jeremy Miles, who is currently UK and Ireland manager at Chubb.
