Arch appoints chief reinsurance and exposure officer

Arch Insurance International, part of Bermuda-headquartered Arch Capital Group, has appointed Krista Bonneau as its chief reinsurance and exposure officer.

Based in London, she will be responsible for developing and managing the ceded reinsurance and exposure management functions across Arch Insurance International’s portfolio. She will report to Hugh Sturgess, president and chief executive officer of Arch Insurance International.

The appointment is a promotion for Bonneau, who joined Arch Insurance Company in 2010 and the ceded reinsurance team in 2014, where she was most recently senior vice president. She began her career as a reinsurance associate with Towers Perrin (now WTW).

“Our reinsurance procurement strategy has been a fundamental part of our strong growth in recent years,” said Sturgess. “As part of our senior management team, Krista has led the development of that strategy. This promotion also recognizes Krista’s contribution to our team and to our future in a dynamic and evolving marketplace.”

Bonneau added: “I am excited to be taking on this combined role, both to develop synergies between reinsurance and exposure management and to support Arch Insurance International’s goals for growth in the London Market and beyond. Our aim will be to ensure we maintain a balanced strategy which closely aligns with our overarching business objectives and helps facilitate our continued success.”
