Apple co-founder to speak at Convergence 2013

Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple turned global philanthropist, has been confirmed as the keynote speaker at ILS Bermuda’s Convergence 2013. The invitation-only event is aimed at influencers in capital markets and insurance.

Jason Carne, ILS Bermuda committee member and head of ILS at KPMG, said: “Wozniak is a true trailblazer in his industry and will bring a unique point of view on innovation and its game-changing impact on our industry and culture. We are very excited to have Steve keynote at Convergence 2013. He will provide thought-provoking ideas that will inspire many conversations throughout the event.”

Arthur Wightman, ILS Bermuda committee member and insurance leader, PwC Bermuda, added: “Bermuda has always been a centre of innovation in insurance and the intersection of capital markets and insurance is no exception. We believe Steve’s experience as an industry vanguard will connect in a meaningful way with the global perspective of our attendees.”

Wozniak will speak on the 14th of November, the final day of the two-day event featuring roundtable discussions, panels, networking opportunities and an invitation to the World Rugby Classic.
