HDI Global partners with mea Platform to scale AI-driven underwriting and claims processing

Corporate and specialty insurer HDI Global, part of the Talanx Group, has partnered with mea Platform to deploy AI-driven technology across underwriting and claims operations to improve data processing and reduce manual administrative workloads.

HDI Global has taken the step to deploy mea’s AI to process the large volumes of classified inbound structured and unstructured data typical to its workflows serving over 200 territories across industrial, corporate and specialty clients.

The vision is to provide HDI’s teams with faster, better-informed decisions by improving data quality and reducing time spent on repetitive tasks to provide higher value outputs for clients. HDI reported that final underwriting and claims decisions always remain with its experts.

The HDI deployment takes advantage of mea’s proprietary insurance domain language model and Insurance Industry Knowledge Graph to provide domain context and to support interpretation, extraction and routing of submission and claims data.

Jens Hillmer (pictured left), global head of business operations and transformation at HDI Global, said: “By combining mea’s insurance-specific AI capabilities with HDI Global’s technical expertise, we are creating greater focus, clarity and capacity where it matters most: assessing risk, supporting our broker partners and delivering reliable service to our clients.”

Max Richter (pictured right), EMEA CEO of mea Platform, said: “By standardising intelligent input management across underwriting and claims globally, HDI is positioning itself to unlock meaningful gains in productivity, data quality, and client responsiveness. We are proud to partner with their team as they continue to advance their global operating model to the benefit of their partners.”
