Montauk Point has appointed Gero Michel (pictured) to lead its risk and analytics division, strengthening the Bermuda-based firm’s client-facing advisory capabilities across risk capital analytics and strategic portfolio support.
Michel will oversee Montauk Point’s risk and analytics platform, including portfolio optimisation, model governance, validation frameworks and client-facing data tools, with a focus on turning complex modelling outputs into commercially actionable insights.
He brings more than 35 years of experience across insurance and reinsurance underwriting and enterprise risk management, having previously held senior roles at AIG, Montpelier Re, RMS, Chaucer and Aon.
