Fidelis Partnership hires Swiss Re veteran Oliver Dlugosch
The Fidelis Partnership (TFP) has recruited 19-year Swiss Re veteran Oliver Dlugosch (pictured) to steer its aviation and space portfolio in a senior underwriting role.
Dlugosch will join The Fidelis Partnership (TFP) as group head of aviation in December. Based in London, he will report to Richard Coulson and drive growth across TFP’s aviation and space specialty offering.
Dlugosch brings more than 25 years of underwriting experience in commercial insurance and reinsurance, with a focus on major risks, general aviation and space. He joins TFP after nearly two decades at Swiss Re, where he held several senior underwriting roles, most recently director and head of aerospace for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions. He began his career at GE Insurance Solutions in 1997, later serving as head of aviation direct airlines & manufacturers.
In June 2025, he completed a two-year term as president of the International Union of Aerospace Insurers (IUAI), having served on its executive council for more than 10 years.
Richard Coulson, deputy group CUO and CEO of insurance at The Fidelis Partnership, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Oliver to the team as we continue to build on the success of aviation within our market-leading specialty book. Against a backdrop of strong projected market growth as well as increasing risk complexity and volatility, clients need nimble, innovative and high-conviction underwriting more than ever. With our differentiated aviation and aerospace capabilities, complemented by specialist aviation finance and credit risk insurance through our Pine Walk MGA Itasca, TFP is exceptionally well placed to serve this market. Oliver’s deep sector specialism and extensive global experience will prove invaluable as we continue to enhance TFP’s underwriting leadership.”
Dlugosch added: “TFP’s market-leading reputation for technical excellence, high-conviction risk selection and underwriting outperformance makes it uniquely positioned to respond to the growth opportunities and evolving client needs of today’s aviation (re)insurance market. I’m very excited to be joining the team as the business continues to grow its specialty proposition while setting new standards for underwriting creativity and innovation.”
