Everest Re strengthens North American treaty casualty
Everest Reinsurance has looked within to promote Mayur Doshi to be head of North America treaty casualty, the company said.
Everest Re, a subsidiary of Bermuda-registered Everest Group, said the appointment of the former vice president of US treaty casualty is expected to strengthen the company's casualty segment.
He will report to Jiten Voralia, head of North America treaty reinsurance.
“Mayur’s business acumen, coupled with the depth of his underwriting expertise makes him the ideal leader to support our continued evolution as a preferred partner,” Voralia said. “He brings a strong vision for the future of our Treaty Casualty Team that will enhance the business and drive success in the years to come.”
Doshi joined Everest in 2019 from The Navigators Group, where he was responsible for treaty and facultative reinsurance purchasing across the Company’s long-tail lines of business. He spent more than a decade with Odyssey Reinsurance Company, most recently as serving as Senior Casualty and Facultative Underwriter. He has also held positions of increasing responsibility with Swiss Re. Everest said.
