Everest Re appoints chair of global property

Veteran underwriter Chuck Volker (pictured) has been appointed chairman of global property for Everest Reinsurance. 

In a post on LinkedIn, Everest Re, a subsidiary of Bermuda-based Everest Group, said Volker will serve as a central point of contact for Everest’s property brokers and clients and will enhance “our consistent focus on exceptional global service”.

Volker is senior vice president for treaty property, marine and aerospace underwriting for Everest, which he joined in 2002, according to his LinkedIn profile. 

He was previously SVP at PXRE (previously Phoenix Re), where he worked from 1987 to 2002.
