Chubb Bermuda’s Robert Spurling steps up to lead financial lines unit

Chubb Bermuda has named Robert Spurling senior vice president and head of financial lines to strengthen portfolio growth, client relationships, and product innovation across its global operations.

Spurling steps up from his current position as senior vice president, financial lines underwriter.

In his new role, Spurling will oversee Chubb Bermuda’s financial lines business unit and lead the strategic direction and growth of the portfolio. He will also manage key client relationships and lead a team focused on delivering tailored client solutions.

Spurling has 20 years of insurance industry experience and joined Chubb in 2006 as an assistant underwriter in financial lines. Before joining the insurer, he held positions including aide-de-camp to the governor and lead accountant at Deloitte & Touche.

Richard Porter, executive vice president and head of liability lines for Chubb Bermuda, said: “Robert’s strong work ethic and expertise in financial lines make him exceptionally well-suited for this role. His deep understanding of our portfolio and clients will be invaluable as we continue to advance Chubb Bermuda’s leadership in the market.”
