BMA marks Women’s Day with promise of new DEI strategies
The Bermuda Monetary Authority joined organisations celebrating International Women’s Day (IWD) on Friday, March 8. The authority vowed to set broader and more formalised diversity equity and inclusion goals and strategies, including those on gender.
It also invited its female employees to the BMA House for a special IWD luncheon.
“I would like to take this opportunity to applaud the many outstanding women at the BMA and thank them for the tireless dedication they bring to their work across the authority year-round,” said Shanna Lespere, deputy CEO.
“I am truly honoured to serve alongside the more than 140 talented women at the BMA every single day of the year. I would like to encourage everyone in Bermuda to empower and support the inclusion and success of women in their workplaces, as well as at home and across the community.”
This year’s IWD call to action was to “inspire inclusion”.
