The Bermuda Development Agency will welcome a record number of regulators to speak at the third annual Bermuda Risk Summit, beginning tomorrow.

Taking place from March 13-15, delegates will join the heads of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) and US Department of Treasury, Federal Insurance Office (FIO). Five NAIC commissioners, including NAIC president Andrew Mais will speak at the event at the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, as will Steven Seitz, director in the Federal Insurance Office of the US Department of Treasury.

“We are extremely grateful for the level of support we have received from our industry partners and overseas friends,” said David Hart, CEO of the BDA. The US remained “Bermuda’s largest and closest trading partner”, he added.

Keynote speeches over the three days will come from Bermuda’s Premier David Burt and Marc Grandisson, CEO of Arch Capital Group on first day; Soraya Wright, global head of corporate risk and claims at Amazon and Patrick Tannock, CEO of AXA XL Insurance in Bermuda on the second; and Frank Schmid, chief technology officer for Gen Re, and  Steven Seitz, director in the  US Department of Treasury Federal Insurance Office on day three.
