Axis appoints Hosking as global distribution head

Bermuda-based specialty re/insurer Axis Capital has appointed Hannah Hosking (pictured) as global head of distribution to strengthen its strategic partnerships.

Hosking brings over 20 years of insurance industry experience and extensive leadership expertise to AXIS. She joins from Axa XL, where she most recently served as head of mid-market. Prior to that, Hosking held senior leadership roles at Chubb, including head of distribution for both Broker & Proposition UK&I and Independent Brokers UK&I.

Based in London, Hosking joins the global markets leadership team and reports to Edward Ashby, chief commercial officer. In her new role, she will collaborate closely with Sara Farrup, head of global markets, and key members of the global markets underwriting business units to align on strategy and engagement as part of AXIS's wider vision.

Ashby said: “Hannah has a critical role within AXIS as we advance our go-to-market approach, elevating broker relationships across the Global Markets division, enhancing the AXIS value proposition, and aligning on distribution strategy alongside the wider Global Distribution team.”

Farrup said: “Hannah’s market knowledge and broker connections will be invaluable to AXIS Global Markets as we continue to drive leadership in specialty underwriting and work ever closer with our key broker and distribution partners across the London and global markets in which we operate.”
