Arch Insurance appoints new CRO

Specialty insurer Arch Insurance International has appointed Tom Rivers as its chief risk officer. He joins from AXIS Managing Agency, part of AXIS Capital, where he held the same position.

In over 20 years in the insurance sector, Rivers has also served as CRO for Novae Group and held senior actuarial roles at PwC.

Hugh Sturgess, CEO of Arch Insurance International, said: “Tom is a highly respected authority on risk management. His extensive experience in embedding robust risk cultures and using a holistic view of the landscape to guide strategic-level risk decisions is a welcome addition to our senior management team.”
