Bermuda-based reinsurance broker AHJ Miller has expanded its platform with the appointment of Marlon Williams, a senior property underwriter from Hiscox, to its Bermuda office.
Williams will report directly to Charlie Simpson, head of Miller Bermuda. He will focus on the placement of reinsurance and retrocessional business into the Bermuda market, with responsibility for new business generation and strengthening AHJ Miller’s property cat capabilities as the broker expands its reinsurance offering on the island.
Williams has more than two decades of experience spanning insurance, reinsurance, catastrophe modelling and international property catastrophe underwriting.
Before joining AHJ Miller, he spent five years at Hiscox Re & ILS as a senior underwriter, where he led international property catastrophe underwriting and developed deep expertise in retrocession. Williams’s tenure at Hiscox followed 15 years in the catastrophe practice at Markel Bermuda.
