SiriusPoint names Rachel Winoski chief HR officer

SiriusPoint has added Rachel Winoski to its bench as chief human resources officer, adding more than 15 years of insurance industry HR experience to its executive leadership team.

Winoski (pictured) will join SiriusPoint on October 5, based in New York and reporting to chief executive officer Scott Egan. She joins from Axa XL, where she was chief HR officer for the Americas.

Winoski has led large-scale organisational transformation, including acquisitions and integrations, and has built global HR functions. Her experience spans talent, culture, employee relations, reward, talent acquisition, HR operations, and belonging and inclusion.

She succeeds Sarah Smith, who has served as interim chief human resources officer since April 2026.

Egan said: “Rachel is an outstanding addition to SiriusPoint. She brings deep HR leadership experience, and a strong track record of building high-performing teams and cultures. Her leadership will help us continue to strengthen our culture, invest in our people, and ensure SiriusPoint remains a place where our colleagues can grow, contribute, and do their best work.”

He also thanked Smith for her leadership of the HR team and contribution to the executive leadership team over the past six months. Smith will continue as HR director, partnering with SiriusPoint’s UK and European operations.
