Bermuda-based specialty re/insurer SiriusPoint has appointed David Turner (pictured) as claims leader to drive the evolution and growth of its claims operations.
David Turner becomes global head of claims, reporting to Scott Egan, SiriusPoint CEO. Based in London, Turner will lead the global claims function, overseeing teams across London and New York.
He joins SiriusPoint from Fidelis where he was group head of claims, responsible for growing the claims function across key underwriting hubs. In turn, Turner joined Fidelis from MS Amlin, where he was global claims director and led the development and implementation of a global claims strategy. He also spent time in the claims team at Willis.
Egan said: “SiriusPoint’s claims function has evolved considerably over the last few years as we enhance the claims experience for our partners and clients. David is a highly experienced claims leader, and I am looking forward to welcoming him to the team to oversee the development of our global offering.”
Turner added: “I’m excited to be joining SiriusPoint’s global claims team at such a pivotal moment in the company’s journey. SiriusPoint has been through a period of significant transformation and is now in a strong position, with a revitalised culture and clear strategic direction. The claims function has made impressive strides, and I’m looking forward to working with the team to drive performance and service excellence for our clients and partners.”
