Willis Re hires Kirsten van Exel to strengthen Dutch offering

Willis Re has hired Kirsten van Exel as executive director in its Dutch office, providing reinsurance to the Dutch market.

She takes up her post on July 15, 2020, and will report to Gerrit van Emst.

van Exel has more than 20 years’ experience in re/insurance, having previously been a senior ILS underwriter at AEGON and a senior reinsurance actuary at NN Re.

Dirk Spenner, managing director, head of EMEA North/ East at Willis Re, welcomed van Exel’s experience in both life and non-life re/insurance which he said will strengthen its Dutch offering.
