Everest hires sports and entertainment underwriter

Everest Insurance has hired Kurt Hines as vice president of underwriting in the specialty insurance group (SIG).

Everest’s SIG provides insurance for the sports, leisure and entertainment industries, with Hines responsible for overseeing all underwriting activities for this business.

Hines joins Everest from Aslan Risk Advisors in Philadelphia, a consulting practice he founded dedicated to the P&C insurance and risk management industries, where he was president. He has also served as senior vice president of underwriting at Philadelphia Insurance Companies, responsible for all underwriting functions related to the sports and recreation and public services divisions. He also spent 17 years at Zurich North America, holding various management positions.
