Aspen Re strengthens international offering with hire

Richard Milner has been named as senior managing director of Aspen Re International.

Milner, who takes up his post on February 19, is a former chief executive officer of VIBE Re. He has also held a number of senior positions at Axis Re, including president and chief underwriting officer, and head of global business development.

Meanwhile, Aspen Re has also named Antoine Bdabouni as head of Middle East and Africa. Bdabouni was previously global multi-line insurance and reinsurance business development manager at Gulf Insurance and Reinsurance Company and is based in Zurich.

Mark Cloutier, executive chairman and group chief executive officer, said the appointments “will work closely with the Aspen Re leadership team to maximise value creation in our reinsurance franchise for long-term, sustainable profitability.”
