Aspen makes senior hire in London
Aspen Insurance Holdings has appointed Joshua Brekenfeld as director of global corporate development. He joins in August and will be based in London.
Brekenfeld joins from Lloyd’s of London, where he spent six years. In his most recent role he lead the business oversight relationship between Lloyd’s and ten companies operating in the Lloyd’s market. He has also held roles in the US Senate, serving as the personal assistant to Dianne Feinstein, and later as the deputy staff director of the US senate rules committee under Senator Charles Schumer.
In his new role Brekenfeld reports to Mark Cloutier, executive chairman and group CEO, and will work closely with Mike Cain, group COO; Marcus Foley, chief strategy officer; Silvia Martinez, group general counsel; and Jonny Atkinson, global head of insurance marketing and distribution and head of insurance London.
Cloutier said: “I am delighted that Josh is joining Aspen. His proven experience and expertise will be invaluable as we strive to achieve organizational excellence within the business and develop further our corporate initiatives across a broad range of areas.
