Ascot has appointed Drew Walter as executive vice president and head of cyber and commercial E&O.
Tracy O’Hara, Abigail Oliver, Greg Garijanian and Ben Mancuso also join the team.
Drew is based in New York and will build a business writing cyber alongside technology, media, and miscellaneous E&O classes. The team operates across the US, focusing on wholesale and limited retail distribution to write admitted and non-admitted products.
Drew joins from Axis Capital where he was head of global cyber and technology underwriting delivery. He was with the company for almost a decade and oversaw the regional underwriting on a range of cyber and E&O products.
Greg Wolyniec, president and CEO of Ascot US, noted that the re/insurer now offers a complete set of specialty and financial lines products. The hires “exponentially strengthen our US financial lines presence,” he said.
“The E&O lines complement our existing LPL and recently launched D&O and FI offerings, while the team’s cyber expertise will be used to provide standalone and innovatively bundled cyber solutions across many of our lines of business,” Wolyniec added.
