XL strengthens Iberian claims team

XL Group’s insurance operation in Iberia has announced the appointment of Alejandra Llobera as senior claims specialist for financial lines as well as the promotion of Mónica Novillo to deputy claims manager.

The changes come about as XL looks to drive the strength of its financial lines capabilities in continuing to provide top claims services to its clients.

Llobera and Novillo are based in Madrid and will report to Aránzazu Arana, head of claims for Western Europe & Latin America.

That’s why we continue investing in our claims teams – promoting from within and bringing on new expertise to further strengthen our service offering. I’m delighted to welcome a talent like Alejandra to the team and congratulate Mónica on a well-deserved promotion.”

Llobera has worked as an insurance lawyer for the last 13 years, specializing in civil liability insurance including directors and officers, employment practice liability, general liability, professional liability, professional indemnity etc. Before joining XL she was a senior lawyer at Davies Arnold Cooper Abogados and an associate at Clyde Abogados S.L.P. in Madrid.

Novillo has 14 years of claims experience with brokers and insurers and joined XL in 2011 as a claims specialist for Spain and Portugal. Prior to XL, Novillo worked at Direct Seguros, Willis Iberia, Marsh & McLennan and HDI Seguros.
