Xceedance makes senior AIG hire to drive claims

Xceedance has strengthened its property/casualty unit with the appointment of Marc Rothchild as senior vice president and head of claims.

Prior to joining the Bermuda-domiciled consulting and managed services company, Rothchild lead the consumer and commercial claims unit at AIG.

He has also led claims operations for Blackboard Insurance.

Xceedance executive vice president and chief operations officer (North America) Manish Khetan said Rothchild was hired due to his experience of handling complex claims while streamlining customer service.

Khetan said: “Many carriers work with multiple vendors and TPAs, sometimes as many as 20, to bring claims to resolution, and that’s before the recovery or subrogation process.

“Given Marc’s deep experience, ranging from start-up environments to large carriers paying over $25bn in annual claims, he understands the value of consolidated services under a single managed services provider for an insurer’s bottom line, while simultaneously improving the customer experience.”
