Wilton Re donates 500 meals for Cup Match holiday

Wilton Re has donated 500 meals to families across Bermuda for the Cup Match holiday, according to online news portal Bernews.

Wilton Re’s partner in the initiative, Take Five Limited, is a health-conscious caterer serving environmentally friendly food.

Sylvia Oliveira, chief executive officer of Wilton Re, said: “Wilton Reinsurance Bermuda Limited is proud to support Take Five Limited in their quarterly community feeding programme.

“We commend Holger Eiselt and the Take Five team for their dedication to fulfilling this fundamental need in our community.”

She added: “Wilton Re Bermuda remains steadfast in our commitment to the community as well, and we recognise the significant need for this crucial outreach.”

Brendan Kemp, chief financial officer of Wilton Re, said: “These partnerships are integral to so many families within our community, and we are very pleased to be able help with this sponsorship.

“Providing food security is one small way to help Bermuda overcome the wide-ranging impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic.”

The Cup Match holiday, a two-day public holiday celebrated on 29-30 July.

Holger Eiselt, the CEO of Take Five Ltd, said: “We aim to continue our pledge for the remainder of this year, but we cannot do this alone, and collaborations like this make it all possible. I believe that we all play a part in helping our fellowmen.”
