Willis Re eyes expansion in MENA with new regional director
Willis Re, the reinsurance division of Willis Towers Watson, has named Chems-Eddine Kassali as regional director for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
Kassali was previously associate director at United Insurance Brokers. In his new role he is responsible for the strategic development of Willis Re’s MENA portfolio and its client and reinsurer relationships, leveraging and developing Willis Re’s service offerings in the region.
He reports to Natalie van de Coolwijk, regional director for the Middle East and Africa and chief executive officer of Willis Re South Africa.
Alkis Tsimaratos, managing director and head of EMEA West/South for Willis Re International, said: “Chems is a great asset for Willis Re’s growing team, bringing a wealth of local experience, relationships, and a deep understanding of client needs in the MENA region.”
van de Coolwijk said: “Now is an opportune time for us to further develop our global client centric approach delivered locally. Our MENA team has been reinforced significantly, which is testimony to Willis Re’s continuing commitment to the region and clients.”
Kassali added: “The quality of servicing of our clients is at the core of our project and together with the team we will continue accompanying our clients to success with dedication.”
