Sompo taps QBE for its new head of international casualty in London

Bermuda-based specialty property and casualty re/insurer Sompo International has appointed Jon Hiller as senior vice president and head of international casualty for the London market.

Based in London, he will report to Mike Reid, executive vice president and head of casualty, international insurance.

Hiller joins Sompo from QBE Europe, where he served for almost seven years in various roles, most recently leading the company’s Canadian liability and international environmental portfolios. With over 15 years’ experience, he has worked in a range of positions across the Lloyd’s and London markets and in Sydney, Australia, for businesses including AIG, JLT Australia and Chubb.
