Sompo names non-executive director to UK board

Bermuda-based Sompo International has appointed Claire Cordell (pictured) as non-executive director and chairwoman of the audit committee for its UK subsidiary board of directors.

Cordell most recently served as chief financial officer for commercial bank Aldermore Bank, where she was also on the board as an executive for two years. Her insurance industry experience includes senior roles at RSA and Winterthur.
