Sompo International appoints commercial P&C CEO in Bermuda
Specialty re/insurer Sompo International has appointed Christopher Gallagher as the Bermuda-based CEO of its commercial property and casualty business, SI Commercial P&C.
Gallagher was formerly the chief risk officer and group actuary of SI Commercial P&C.
In his new role, Gallagher will report to Nigel Frudd, CEO of Sompo International and senior executive vice president and chairman of overseas M&A for Sompo Holdings. Executive leaders of SI Commercial P&C currently reporting to Frudd will now report to Gallagher.
SI Commercial P&C represents $7 billion in shareholder’s equity, $6 billion in annual gross written premiums and over 2,000 employees globally.
