Recruitment firm Eliot Partnership opens new office in Bermuda

Eliot Partnership, the global insurance sector executive search firm, has opened an office in Bermuda, its fifth office, and appointed Britt Reiss as partner and director in Bermuda.

Reiss is based in Bermuda and joins Eliot with over 15 years of executive search experience, predominantly focused on the re/insurance industry. She was most recently managing partner of The James Partnership/ BermudaREcruit, an affiliate of Ernst & Young. She has also worked at Hays, a global specialist recruitment group, where she developed senior-level relationships with clients and candidates throughout the UK.

Edliot said it has opened an office in Bermuda because of the island’s significance in the global re/insurance industry and its leading role in developing risk management solutions and insurance linked securities (ILS).

Reiss will grow EP’s footprint in Bermuda and will be a key member of Eliot’s team serving and growing its wider global client base through its existing offices in London, New York, Singapore and Zurich.

Andrew Eliot, founder and managing partner of Eliot Partnership, noted the company has worked with the Bermuda market for many years, but said the new office and hire will enhance its reach and effectiveness in serving its clients.

Reiss has lived in Bermuda, Europe and the Middle East, and “can balance cultural sensitivities when fulfilling the requirements of global businesses,” he added.

Eliot said it serves some of the world’s largest re/insurance companies and brokers, as well as medium-sized businesses, boutique companies and entrepreneurial start-ups.
