QBE Re appoints chief partnership officer

QBE Re has appointed Jamie Cook (pictured) as chief partnership officer. He is tasked with building more effective customer and broker relationships and managing strategic partnerships with retrocessionaires and other capital providers.

Cook joined QBE Re two years ago as global head of client management. He joined from Guy Carpenter and has over 30 years’ experience in the reinsurance sector. He reports to Chris Killourhy, managing director, QBE Re.

Killourhy said: “I am delighted that Jamie has accepted this position. Jamie and his team will empower QBE Re with best-in-class customer, broker and market insights and lead initiatives to further enhance our relationships with our brokers and customers to deliver a sustainable future.”
