PartnerRe promotes exec to head of strategic ventures

PartnerRe has named Chairatch Phrompechrut as head of strategic ventures.

Phrompechrut will report to Marvin Pestcoe, chief executive officer, life, health and strategic ventures. In this position, he will lead the effort to pursue investments in business development opportunities and partnerships.

Phrompechrut joined the Bermuda-based reinsurer in 2008 and has held several positions in the company’s investment function, most recently as head of private equity.

Pestcoe said: “I am very pleased to appoint Chai to head of strategic ventures. I am confident that under Chai’s leadership the strategic ventures group will be successful in giving PartnerRe access to new attractive business opportunities.”
