PartnerRe establishes Dubai office

PartnerRe Europe, the subsidiary of Bermuda-based reinsurer PartnerRe, has been granted a license from the Dubai Financial Services Authority to operate as an authorised firm in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), effective December 16, 2015.

PartnerRe’s branch office in the DIFC will provide regional facultative support in property and construction lines to its clients based in the Middle East region, according to the firm.

John Ramesh has been appointed by PartnerRe to the position of senior executive officer of the Dubai branch.

Underwriting operations from its DIFC office will begin on January 1, 2016.
