New Everest Re executive looks to the skies

Everest Re Group has announced that Georgios (George) Toulkeridis will join Everest in its Zurich office on October 1, 2018, as its global head of aerospace reinsurance.

The company said that Toulkeridis will lead the development and execution of its underwriting strategy for aviation and space.

In addition to these responsibilities, Toulkeridis will also support the Continental European team on various non-aviation areas as the company looks to continue to deliver enhanced value for Everest’s European clients.

“We are excited to have George join our Reinsurance team to help us develop our aviation reinsurance portfolio,” said John Doucette, president and chief executive officer of the reinsurance division. “With his extensive experience in the aviation and space field, we are confident that he will be a tremendous asset to our Company as we continue to grow and diversify our business as well as broaden our global reach in major classes.”

Toulkeridis was previously at Swiss Re where he was managing director, head of aviation and space R/I for the past five years. Before that, he held many senior positions with Hannover Re since 1992, including director of aviation and space reinsurance.
