MS Amlin Insurance SE appoints Herbert Baeten as CUO for P&C

MS Amlin Insurance SE (MS AISE) has named Herbert Baeten as chief underwriting officer for its property and casualty business lines, following the retirement of Rudy Benmeridja.

Baeten will take up his new position from February 1, 2021, subject to regulatory approval, and will report to Ludovic Sénécaut, chief executive of MS AISE. The country manager position for Belgium has been taken up ad interim by Véronique Perottino as of January 1, in addition to her country management responsibilities for France.

Baeten has over twenty years of industry experience, and most recently served as Aon’s chief broking officer and managing director for specialty lines for Belgium and Luxembourg. He has also worked at Ethias Insurance, AIG and Zurich Insurance.
