MS Amlin, Carey Olsen sponsor Bermuda’s World Triathlon Series
MS Amlin will act as title sponsor for Bermuda’s World Triathlon Series for the third consecutive year, with Carey Olsen Bermuda also joining, as an official partner.
For the first time Bermuda will host the ITU Paratriathlon World Cup in an exciting second day of racing, while a 5K Family Fun Run and Walk has also been added to the weekend schedule. Other events include the RenaissanceRe Kids Duathlon.
Chris Beazley, MS Amlin’s CEO for reinsurance, said: “We have active staff who are involved in a variety of sports and community based activities and it is important to us as an organisation to promote healthy lifestyles. We particularly appreciate that the local community becomes so involved in the four days of the MS Amlin World Triathlon Bermuda and we are looking forward to 2020 being the best event yet.”
The Bermuda Tourism Authority, Hamilton Princess Hotel and Beach Club, BF&M, NTT, and the City of Hamilton are also acting as sponsors. PwC serves as volunteer sponsor.
Michael Hanson, managing partner at Carey Olsen Bermuda, said: “For Carey Olsen Bermuda, as a relatively young business with many synergies to the ITU’s recent success in Bermuda, to be able to play a part in this story is incredibly exciting for all of our staff.”
Arthur Wightman, territory leader for PwC Bermuda, encouraged Bermuda residents to get involved. “Volunteers of World Triathlon Bermuda can benefit from the development opportunities that the event offers to build transferrable skills that will help Bermuda to deliver future large-scale international events,” he said. “This legacy planning is an important aspect of an event such as this.”
