MGA Rokstone launches terrorism facility with Fidelis hire

Specialty re/insurance MGA Rokstone, part of the Aventum Group, has launched a new terrorism facility for US and Caribbean risks, with the expertise of a former Fidelis Insurance executive it has hired.

Arif Rahman, who has been hired as head of Political Violence and Terrorism, will head up facility, which has a $225 million limit, one of the largest terrorism limits available in the market. Rahman previously worked at Fidelis Insurance, where he spent three years underwriting for its Specialty Political Violence and Terrorism division.

Drawing on capacity from the Lloyd’s & London Market, the facility is aimed at all risks within the US & Caribbean market. Rokstone also said it intends to widen its scope of offerings in the near future, to provide Political Violence, War and Terrorism solutions to clients globally.
